This course is focussing on leading a team as a beginning supervisor with an emphasis on effective styles of coaching. You will learn about different social styles in managing and coaching but also about conversation skills and situational leadership.
The course consists of three half days. In between there are two sessions for intervision between participants. The following work activities are the central issues within this course:
- Planing, organising and distributing activities
- Directing staff
- Coaching staff during activities
Day 1
First day we will focus on you as a person. Who are you? What makes you feel comfortable? Where do you get your energy from? Leadership starts with you and so you are the starting point of this course. Getting to know yourself and the other participants.
Between day 1 and 2 there will be a session of Intervision. We'll start with a central issue within the group. We will work around that issue.
Day 2
We will be focussing on differences witin a team and how to deal with it. We will have a look at different social styles (DISC) and how to recognise this among your staff. Practising with your style of communication and learn what is most effective for each person.
Between day 2 and 3 another session of intervision will take place. A new central issue within the group will be the main focus.
Day 3
This time all related topics will be integrated. How do you make sure that energy of you and your staff keeps renewed. What creates this positive energy? How do you enable yourself and your team to get things done in a way that is effective and enjoyable. Getting results through teamwork.
You'll be able to integrate your theoretical knowledge and practical skills combined with experiences into a valuable portfolio. Inspiring your team to improve on team performances!
